| I actually chose Dow Corning on the advice of my father who had
worked here for well over 30 years. He had always said "This was like his
home away from home. For those that are looking, there are exciting and
challenging opportunities with great people to help you," he would say and
he was right! As a process operator at the Midland Site, we have the
opportunity to work with every career field in the plant. This starts with our
in-house trades that work on our process equipment. to the engineers, plant
logistics and service personnel. This teamwork keeps the lines of communication
open. This makes everyone more aware of others needs which has a positive
impact overall. I like the way we are brought into the decision process on the
day-to-day operations as well as the new product scale-ups. This gives us the
ability to develop our skills and drive Dow Coring to be the leader in the
silicone field. Finally, as a process operator we have the ability to work
varied shifts that actually allows us more time off than the normal Monday to
