The entire Production Operations employment process is driven by hiring and
business needs. Qualified candidates are contacted via e-mail when there
are job openings that will be filled externally.
Step 1. Submit your credentials on-line. Based upon our current openings
and our minimum requirements consisting of the following:
You must have:

A high school diploma or G.E.D.

Computer literacy

You will then need at least one of the following additional
requirements

Graduate of a Dow Corning-approved Chemical
Operator program
- Chemical Process
Technology Associate Degree (2 year)
- Chemical
Technology Certificate (1 year)
- Fast Start Program (18 weeks)

Journeyman
status or state licensed in a Skilled Trade (must supply copy of
certificate or license – may not be applicable at some locations)

At least 2 years relevant
manufacturing experience

For Indiana, Kentucky, and North Carolina
sites only, the completion of two high school semesters or one college
semester of math (minimum of Algebra) AND science (chemistry, biology,
or physics only) with a minimum grade of “C” in each semester.

Step 2. Credentials are reviewed to verify education,
work experience, and the match between your career goals and Production
Operations opportunities.
|
Step 3. Participate in the pre-employment test sessions
at a local facility contracted by Dow Corning. A representative from Dow
Corning will invite you to a test session based upon hiring needs.

Step 4. Complete an interview assessment. Candidates
that successfully complete this step will have site specific consideration when
job openings are being filled externally.
