Lainey Schaefer was considering offers from several companies in the
Cincinnati area. What sold her on Dow Corning was the attitude and the
atmosphere.
“When I visited the site, I could see right away that people here really
care about what they’re doing. And there’s such a willing attitude. They really
are willing to give you the help and advice you need to do well.”
In the past, Lainey worked in a more urban setting with less community
involvement. “Dow Corning is heavily invested in the community. We participate
in environmental programs, help with Special Olympics and serve as judges for
school science fairs. I like the sense of connection we have here.”
What surprised her most about Dow Corning? The commitment to work-life
balance and the company’s no limits philosophy. “When I came here, they made it
abundantly clear that nothing is off limits in terms of my career. If I want to
do something, they’ll help me gain the skills I need.”
