“I’m a city girl. I didn’t know if I’d like living in Midland. But I spent a
summer here as an intern and discovered that it’s really a great area. I meshed
and bonded with the people right away. They really made me fit in.”
During her internship, Phillisha wrote descriptions for a global account
listing that are still being used today. As an accountant at Dow Corning’s
Midland Plant, she’s continuing to make a difference. “I like being able to
balance work and life experiences – to do more than just work with numbers. As
Interim Chairman for the Midland Plant Contributions Committee, I evaluate
requests from the community for charitable donations and help determine who
will receive our support.
“At Dow Coning, your professional opinion is valued from the very first day.
I was able to add input. And my input was considered when making final
decisions.”
