Collaborating to improve
lives
We are collaborating with the Global Alliance for Clean Cookstoves - a
public-private
partnership led by the United Nations Foundation to create a thriving global
market for
clean and efficient household cooking solutions.
We commit technical, human and financial resources as we work with the
Alliance to
improve the quality of stoves, as well as how to lower the cost of production
to make
them more affordable to families.
The Alliance, which was announced by U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton
in
September 2010, has set a goal to have 100 million homes adopt clean and
efficient
stoves and fuels by 2020, and has a long-term vision of universal adoption of
clean
and efficient cooking solutions.
We are especially honored to be part of a mission that addresses a pervasive
problem,
taking us in the homes and kitchens of the women in these societies - the very
heart of
the family.

Serve – Work with local organizations on service projects with the
potential to make
a tangible, valuable and sustainable contribution to the community
