Employees and retirees in the USA who make personal donations to colleges/universities or cultural arts organizations, are able to receive a matching contribution from Dow Corning. This is one of longest ongoing matching gifts programs among corporations, having been established in 1957.
For donations to universities, Dow Corning provides a matching ration of 1:1 up to a maximum of $10,000 for employees and $3,000 for retirees. For every US dollar donated to an arts organization, Dow Corning provides a 50% matching contribution. The maximum annual limit is $1,000.
Employees and retirees are encouraged to initiate matching gifts themselves — Dow Corning does not distribute matching gift forms to non-profit organizations.
