TEACHER INNOVATION AWARDS
PROGRAM GUIDELINES
-
The project must positively impact math, science and/or technology
classroom instruction.
-
Funding can be used to purchase equipment, resources, training or
expertise. Requests for field
trips will be considered if the grant criteria are met in the proposal. Please
consider the following
points when making your application.
-
What will success look like?
-
What is innovative about this project?
-
How will it impact student learning?
-
What do you expect the impact to be, short-term (this school year) and
long- term (next year and the year after)?
-
How will you measure your results?
-
How many students will be impacted? More than one class should be, if
the project introduces change and improvement in the curriculum.
-
Is the project replicable? Are plans in place to replicate it?
-
Projects should be linked to State Content Standards and Benchmarks.
-
An individual teacher or team of teachers may apply. We encourage
collaboration among teachers,
so a joint application of up to three teachers for a total award of $3,000 may
be submitted, if each
teacher’s role and responsibilities are outlined.
-
A plan for reporting the project results must be in place, both to the
sponsoring organizations and to others.
-
Teachers may submit more than one application, but only one award per
teacher per year will be given.
