Dow Corning executive management updated the CAP on the status of Chapter 11.
The CAP reviewed and commented on Dow Corning’s Responsible Care® report, which featured the company’s environmental, health, and safety performance.
US area recruiting, staffing, and affirmative action initiatives were presented to the CAP.
The CAP advised Dow Corning on the creation of their Risk Management Plan and participated in a public forum.
The Corporation’s reorganization and the impact on the Midland Plant were discussed with the CAP.
The Midland Plant participated in a third party verification of the Corporation’s management systems. The verification team included two of the CAP members. This effort was an example of one of the CAP’s key functions which is to bridge the gap between public expectations and Plant operations in order to build trust and improve communications.
Midland Plant CAP members hosted a meeting with CAP members from Dow Corning’s manufacturing sites in Hemlock, Michigan and Carrollton, Kentucky to review and discuss opportunities to improve the CAP process.
