Midland Site Community Advisory Panel 2001 Annual Report
The Dow Corning Midland Plant Community Advisory Panel was formed in
February 1991. For the past ten years, dedicated members of our community have
made a commitment to meet regularly with the management of Dow Corning. Members
of the Community Advisory Panel represent the very fabric of our community, and
bring diversity to an important and on-going dialogue between the Midland Plant
and our neighbors. This dialogue helps Dow Corning build a relationship that
benefits the community, our employees, and the future of the Midland Plant.
Midland Plant Community Advisory Panel members are true volunteers who have
the opportunity to have their questions and concerns answered and addressed by
Dow Corning management. Members advise Dow Corning management on how to make
meaningful changes in the way that Dow Corning communicates with the community
on key environmental, health, safety, transportation, employee, customer,
business, and other operational issues.
