For more than a half century, the Midland plant has been providing students
with valuable experience through a student employment program.
This site has led the development of a Lunchbox Learners program in Midland
whereby dozens of employees visit Longview Elementary School every week to help
encourage reading and study skills of elementary students.
The site’s partnership with Midland’s Arnold Center, a non-profit agency
that works with physically and mentally challenged individuals, has evolved
into a major recycling
opportunity creating full-time employment and helped address recycling
opportunities for more than 50 businesses.

regularly participated in school-to-work related tours for educators.
