General Criteria

The Dow Corning Midland site provides cash contributions only.

Promotional items or products for door prizes are not available.

People who have received support in the past and are seeking additional
funding must reapply since no ongoing funding is available.

Contributions will be made only to organizations qualified to receive
tax-deductible gifts according to current tax regulations.

In most cases, applicants should not currently be funded by United Way,
which already receives support from Dow Corning and its employees.
To strive for the maximum community benefit, we will support groups or
organizations that:

Are efficiently managed
-
Have clearly defined goals, objectives, and results
-
Are engaged in activities that meet a public need or provide a service that
improves the quality of life in Midland County

Benefits a broad-based group
-
Have multiple sources of support
Exclusions
We do not:

Provide ongoing funding or operational support

Support political, religious, or veterans organizations
-
Provide grants to individuals
-
Support fund-raising events
-
Support for-profit organizations
-
Fund advertising
-
Support health-related research or services
-
Sponsor athletic or recreational events
