| | Future chemists at work?
Science Camp - not just watching, but also experimenting yourself. Through our
support of this initiative for vacation day care, young children have the
opportunity to develop an early interest in natural sciences.
The conclusion of every Science Camp is a 'researcher festival' which is
prepared and organized by the children where they demonstrate what they
occupied themselves with during the week. |

A Surprise for our Support With Musical Instruments
On our Open Door day the class of a local primary school gave a performance on
their new recorders. We were delighted at this display of thanks. The parents
were just as nervous as the young musicians on their first public
performance. |

Wiesbaden engagiert (Wiesbaden cares)
Employees from different companies meet for this event to collectively provide
help in various social facilities. This initiative is sponsored by the City of
Wiesbaden. 20 Dow Corning employees were exempt from work for that day to
support this good cause and provided active support in Kindergartens,
handicapped and elderly homes and other facilities. Our employees experienced
touching moments, for example what it is like being in a wheelchair and
experience the daily challenges. |

Cooperation with local fire brigade
In recognition of a long standing cooperation, the local fire brigade put on a
display during an Open Door day at our site. Both young and old were
enthusiastic about getting a close look at their vehicles. As the fire brigade
was also in charge of refreshments, the sausages did NOT get burned. |
