The connection between sand, one of nature’s abundant resources, and our
silicon-based products provides the foundation on which Dow Corning is based,
and aligns with our dedication to building a sustainable future for you and
each of us.
As we bring to life our Guiding Principles (PDF size: 116 KB), we continually
strive to be one of the most respected companies in the chemical industry for
environmental, health, and safety performance. We have used the American Chemistry
Council's Responsible Care® program as the framework to assure environment,
health, and safety practices are well established within the company.
These management systems guide our actions and enable us to responsibly
develop, produce, and provide products to enhance lives and be a positive force
working for our collective future. To effectively work toward this goal,
we rely on the commitment and involvement of our employees around the world.
That is reflected in our Environment, Health & Safety, Security and Quality
policy (PDF size: 21 KB).
Through this continual investment in EHS&S management systems, Dow
Corning has achieved a global environmental ISO14001 registration (PDF size: 484 KB) and a multi-site
RC14001 certificate of registration (PDF Size: 519 KB),
which includes our corporate headquarters.
Product Stewardship is one good example of our Responsible Care® commitment,
and can be demonstrated by the Product Risk
Characterization, Management and Communication processes we have put in
place. If you would like to know more about the Dow Corning Product Risk
Prioritization Process, please contact us.
