Radiator/Intercooler Seals

Increase sealing integrity under high temperatures and pressures

Use Silastic® brand silicone and fluorosilicone elastomers and Dow Corning® brand silicone sealants for tough, flexible seals that perform reliably and can last longer than many organic rubber seals in harsh engine environments.

Tough silicone rubber radiator/intercooler seals

Give your customers service reliability:

  • Radiator seals with improved resistance to advanced coolant blends and organic acid treatments (OAT)
  • Intercooler seals that retain flexibility and sealing strength when exposed to high heat from turbochargers, including temperatures > 200°C (392°F)

Silicones can outperform many organics in harsh environments
Radiator seals and intercooler seals with Silastic elastomers and Dow Corning sealants:

  • Withstand increasingly higher underhood temperatures and resist softening, aging or compression set.
  • Stay flexible with less cracking, brittleness or leaking in numbing cold.
  • Resist degradation from engine fluids, solvents and environmental contaminants.

Extend your options for productivity, cost and performance
You can meet requirements for higher productivity, lower cost and special performance attributes with standard blends and custom compounds of:
