Performance-Enhancing Solutions for Automotive Surfaces

Get Improved Durability, Gloss and Application Ease with the New Dow Corning®2-5088 Wax

Benefits That Differentiate

Dow Corning® 2-5088 Wax can be used to develop new leather care, automotive waxes and polishes.

This new wax can differentiate your products in the marketplace by offering:

  • Better durability than carnauba wax alone
  • Superior gloss than paraffin or polyethylene wax
  • Excellent water repellency
  • Drier finish on polished surfaces
  • Good solvent retention properties for improved product appearance and application
  • Lower melting point than carnauba and polyethylene waxes - 70°C (158°F) melting point alkyl methyl siloxane wax.
  • Advantages of organo-modified silicones: safe for garages and body shops, overpaintability without special cleaning procedures
  • Gloss as good as carnauba wax
