Analytical Solutions - Construction: In addition to Dow Corning's state-of-the-art Construction Testing Laboratories, the company offers Construction Analytical Solutions. Dow Corning can provide a wide range of analytical capabilities for solving specific construction industry needs. Bid Specifications: Dow Corning can help you establish and implement a competitive bidding process for your project or participate in a competitive bidding project as a builder/contractor.

Blueprint Review: Dow Corning can review your blueprints and make recommendations for material and design enhancements, structural glazing, weatherproofing and performance and substrate compatibility. Submit your Request for a Structural Blue Print Review online or by mail.

Building Specification Review & Revision: Dow Corning can review your building specifications for materials and design criteria with respect to building sealants.

Color Matching Services: With our innovative custom color matching service, Dow Corning can create a computerized custom color match to your substrate sample, color swatch or paint number. Samples are provided for your approval and mock-up quantities are also available. Custom color matching is available only for certain products. Construction Mock-up Program: Visualize your project with Dow Corning's on-site technical consultation services for official building mock-up testing. Choose between lab testing or on-site construction testing.

Specialized Testing of Construction Products: From qualification and compatibility testing, to custom sealant testing, Dow Corning can meet your construction product testing needs.

Submittal Process of Samples for Laboratory Testing: Please review our guide to Dow Corning®brand Silicone Construction Materials Construction Project Services and then contact one of our Dow Corning Construction Distributors in your area who will work with you to make sure your samples are submitted and documented correctly for testing.

Testing of Adhesion, Compatibility, and Stain: Dow Corning can perform the standard testing that is required for issuance of structural glazing and stain-free warranties. These tests are based on Dow Corning modified ASTM standards and are directly related to projects utilizing Dow Corning Silicone Building Sealants. For example:

Compatibility Testing: Incompatible materials can lead to discoloration and/or possible loss of adhesion.  Dow Corning will test and provide information on the compatibility of Dow Corning products with accessory materials (e.g., gaskets, spacers, setting blocks).

Adhesion Testing: Dow Corning will evaluate the adhesion of Dow Corning products at your job site or on representative materials (e.g., glass, metal, masonry, spacers). Test results, product recommendations, surface preparation and primer can be confirmed in writing, if needed.

Stain Testing: Contact your Dow Corning Representative and/or authorized distributor for details on submitting samples and other testing requirements.
