The innovative building envelope technology in Dow Corning®
Architectural Insulation Modules offers building designers and architects a new
solution to meet energy savings goals for high performance buildings
while maintaining design freedom and
aesthetic appeal.
Dow Corning® Architectural Insulation Modules combine the
aesthetics and convenience of a curtainwall construction with the added
energy-savings benefit of high-performance Dow Corning® Vacuum
Insulation Panel (VIP).
Architectural Insulation Modules have a minimum expected life span of 30
years for the thermal performance and they are available in a variety of
coatings in RAL and customized colors, as well as with specific inlays.
To help you select the optimal insulation panel for your specific project,
Dow Corning can advise on the required glass type and thickness depending
on the panel dimensions, building type, building location and encountered
loads, from the early stage of design.

As a leading
United Kingdom academic institution and a ‘listed’ building of special
historical interest, it was especially important the aesthetic of the
University of Birmingham façade be preserved during refurbishment.
Insulating glass manufacturer Crystal Units Ltd. chose high-efficiency
Dow Corning® Vacuum Insulation Panels for this project to increase
thermal insulation between the glass panes of the spandrel units.
