AESTHETIC PROPERTIES
E asily pigmented and odorless, Silicone Foam is 3
dimensional foamed rubber (foamed core, closed cells) with a soft, non-sticky
feel. It can provide up to 60% weight reduction versus solid silicone rubber
parts.

Silicone Foam
offers excellent thermal stability / insulation, compression set, resistance to
chemicals and superior long term performance in extreme conditions (UV, water,
high and low temp).

PROCESSING
Silicone Foam
provides cost reduction and increased productivity through easier processing,
higher production rates, improved part reproducibility and superior safety
versus high consistency rubber. It can be made by liquid injection molding with
additional gas mixing equipment or standard methods (compression, extrusion,
calendaring).

produces no harmful by-products and unlike polyurethane foam, finished parts
are hardly flammable. Non-hazardous, non-flammable gas is used in production
without chemical blowing agents.
