Silicone Rubber

Silicone Rubber Image
COMMERCIALLY PROVEN MATERIAL

I LOVE STRETCHING AND I WON'T GET OUT OF SHAPE.

Despite extreme temperatures, harsh conditions and all kinds of bending, I never forget where I started. And I'm as versatile as I am durable. There are thousands of ways to use me and abuse me.
bullet 01 USAGE
Silicone Rubber is currently used in applications requiring long life in harsh environments or demanding repeated performance. This includes automotive and electrical parts (o-rings, gaskets, tubing, wires, rollers), consumer goods (appliances, kitchenware, sportswear) and high voltage insulation. Design concepts include: weather resistance (outdoor furniture, grills, cell phones) and vibration dampening applications (recreational vehicles, audio equipment).
bullet 02 AESTHETIC PROPERTIES
Clear, translucent or opaque, and easily pigmented, Silicone Rubber can be made with many different degrees of hardness and soft touch.
bullet 03 MATERIAL PERFORMANCE
Silicone Rubber provides excellent performance under extreme conditions (UV, water, temperature, aggressive fluids). It offers flexiblility, insulation (electrical, vibration, heat transfer), and high stretch / compression with shape retention. It can be made self-lubricating, flame resistant and more or less conductive.
bullet 04 PROCESSING
Silicone Rubber offers faster cure times than most organic alternatives and is available for molding (compresion, injection, transfer), extrusion, calendaring and coating (dip, spray).
bullet 05 SUSTAINABILITY
Silicone Rubber can be recycled and uses processes with minimal by-products unlike sulfur and zinc cured alternatives.
bullet 06 COST
Silicone Rubber is a specialty product that provides some processing advantages & differentiated benefits over traditional rubber materials.
