solvent, as solventless liquids, or as solid flake materials.

Uses for silicone resins
Because of their high-performance capabilities, silicone resins are often
used in industrial paints and coatings or electrical protection applications
that require some combination of:

Superior thermal, weather, UV, or chemical resistance

Low electrical conductivity and high dielectric strength

Water repellency.
These include:

Binders for high-temperature paints for industrial exhaust stacks, boilers,
catalytic cracking units, cookware, space heaters, and fireplace inserts

Protective coatings for bridges and municipal water towers

Automotive clear coats
-
Antifouling paints for ocean-going vessels

Varnishes for coating glass cloth; impregnating and protecting electrical
coils and resistors

Protective conformal coatings on rigid and flexible circuit boards

Coatings to protect transformers and solenoids from moisture
Silicone resins are also used in the formulation of pressure sensitive
adhesives, release coatings, specialty elastomers, antifoams, and other
surfactants.
