Encapsulation Materials — Product Quality
Dow Corning performs extensive quality assurance testing in our manufacturing facilities in accordance with rigid ISO 9001 standards. This section is intended to provide the end-user with simple screening tests to verify that the material, as received, has not been abused or damaged during transit.
Shelf Life and Storage Conditions
Dow Corning® Die Encapsulants must be stored at temperatures between -20°C and -30°C upon receipt to prolong the shelf life. Also, the material must not rise above 10°C during shipping.
The material is shipped on blue ice and a temperature recorder is included in the package to monitor temperatures throughout shipment.
Dow Corning® Die Encapsulants have a “use by” date on the label and no material will be shipped to a customer unless there is at least 3 months’ usable life remaining.
