There are a number of uses where simple manual application of sealant strips
can be the best choice, particularly for uses in the field. Here, sealant
strips can be used as a tape wrap or hand cut and applied to surfaces. The
sealant strip should have some means of compression (5-50%) for best results.
This can be accomplished by extending the strip while wrapping (same as an
athletic bandage) or with an outer covering applied such as heat shrink tubing
or electrical tape.
