Silicones are particularly useful for electronics and electrical devices in
moist and other severe environments, in insulating from high voltage, and in
providing a low stress environment.

They can be considered for use in such applications as:
- Adhering module lids and baseplates
- Gasketing
- Sealing in and
around wires and other openings in the module
- Protecting terminal
electrodes on liquid crystal and plasma displays
- Fastening CRT yoke
assemblies
- Cushioning or stabilizing fragile electronic components
