We know softness is a key consumer benefit. To help you evaluate our
materials, Dow Corning has done panel testing on towel
swatches. Results from paired comparison testing between a reference
treatment based on 16% active triethanolamine-based diesterquat softener and
the same treatment with the addition of the silicone additive. The following
products improved softness in the testing.
-
Dow
Corning® Q2-1607 Emulsion - Cationic emulsion, active at low addition
levels, 0.8 to 1.5% as active silicone.
-
Dow
Corning® 2-8203 Emulsion - Non-ionic microemulsion of an organofunctional
siloxane blend; provides high (>60%) silicone deposition onto
fabrics.
-
Dow
Corning® 2-8663 Emulsion - A cationic microemulsion with a reactive
amino-functional polydimethylsiloxane internal phase; provides high (>60%)
silicone deposition onto fabrics.
