Dow Corning to exhibit and present at PSTC Tape Summit 2012 in Boston

Key Technology Expert to Present During TECH 35 Session

The Dow Corning Corporation Pressure Sensitive Industry team will exhibit in Booth 13 at the Pressure Sensitive Tape Council’s (PSTC) Tape Summit 2012, from April 30 to May 4, at the Seaport Hotel and World Trade Center in Boston.

Dow Corning will exhibit its lineup of low adhesion, pressure sensitive adhesives (PSAs) and new hard coating materials for protective film applications. Silicone-based technology offers stable adhesion over time and superior wet ability and transparency as well as better mar resistance and anti-scratch than current organic PSAs on PET technology.

In addition to the exhibition, Kyle Rhodes, Dow Corning application engineering technical specialist, is confirmed to present, “Surface Protection of Optical Films and Glass During and After Assembly” during the 2 p.m. TECH 35 session on Wednesday, May 2.

“We are excited to illustrate our proven and innovative silicones for the pressure sensitive adhesives market,” said Christian Velasquez, Dow Corning’s global market director for the Pressure Sensitive Industry. “The development of our new, low adhesion, surface protective, pressure sensitive adhesives broadens the solution set that Dow Corning can offer customers seeking to protect electronic displays and touch screen enabled devices.”

Dow Corning® brand silicone pressure sensitive adhesives offer critical advantages that organic adhesives such as acrylic, natural rubber and other competing materials cannot match. Advantages include an excellent service temperature range, conformability, adhesion to low energy surfaces and adhesive tack.To learn more about Dow Corning® Pressure Sensitive Solutions, visit Dow Corning at Booth 13, or
