Power Up with Dow Corning
Coatings
Give your coatings a shock of high-value functionality. With Dow Corning’s
slip and mar-resistance technology platform, you can add valuable performance
attributes to your products. Improving slip and mar performance will enable you
to differentiate your product offering.
Consider Sampling a Great Performer
Dow Corning carries a complete line of additives that can add improved slip
and mar-resistance performance to virtually any coating formulation. A good
place to start when considering possible additives is with three of Dow
Corning’s most versatile products from its slip and mar-resistance enabling
technology platform.
Dow Corning® 51 Additive
and 52 Additive
-
Ultra-high-molecular-weight polydimethysiloxane dispersion in aqueous
dispersions
-
Dow Corning 51 Additive is formulated at high (90% actives) solids, while
the lower viscosity of Dow Corning 52 Additive (64% actives) allows for easier
incorporation into coating formulations
-
Improve mar resistance and slip in water-borne systems or solvent-borne
systems containing polar solvents; provide water resistance in water-borne
systems; also impart leveling, wetting, and gloss
Dow Corning® 57 Additive
-
Nonreactive silicone glycol copolymer surfactant
-
Excellent organic compatibility
-
Supplied at 100 percent active concentration
-
Provides slip, gloss, pigment treatment, leveling, wetting, and
mar-resistance
