To demonstrate our commitment to the environment and the sustainability of
the paper industry,
Dow Corning is investing in new products, technologies, and resources for paper
recycling, including solutions for deinking and micro-"stickies"
control.
Deinking
With new silicon-based technology from Dow Corning and Nopco, waste paper
recyclers can
easily and cost effectively detach and remove ink from tissue, cardboard, and
printing paper in situations where alkaline procedures are either undesirable
or not permitted.
Micro-"stickies"
control
Dow Corning has developed a unique method for detakifying
micro-"stickies". This patented technology is significantly more
effective, less messy, and easier to handle than talc.
