Decrease commercialization time – expertise in timely development
of quality methods
-
Reduce your costs - no equipment investment
-
Options - we can do testing for you or train your organization
Silicones pose unique and difficult challenges for test method development.
Our expertise in developing analytical methods for silicone testing is unique,
proven and substantially more diverse than contract laboratories. Our
experience extends into other areas of organic and inorganic chemistry across
many
industries.
Case Study - Measuring Silicone Concentration in Lip Balm
A pharmaceutical company was formulating a new lip balm with silicone as an
active ingredient and needed an assay developed to determine silicone content.
The method also needed to be validated using Good Laboratory Practice (GLP)
protocol for FDA approval. Dow Corning Analytical Solutions were able to
develop and validate a gas chromatography functionality method to quantify
silicone in their complex sample matrix. This test method was later transferred
to our customer's testing laboratory.
