A food processing plant was experiencing oil emulsification in its hydraulically operated conveying equipment. The oil reservoir under the equipment was being exposed to water due to frequent wash downs.
This lead to emulsification and the need for frequent oil changes. This caused higher oil expenditures, higher labor costs to change the oil and the interruption of production. The plant switched to Molykote L-1346FG.
