Dow Corning Launches Its Most Versatile Antifoam

Dow Corning® AF-3258 PulpAid Compound is a 100 percent active silicone antifoam designed for custom formulators of high-performance materials. Used for aggressive foaming environments encountered in chemical pulping, such as kraft and sulfite pulp washing, AF-3258 PulpAid Compound blends the leading features of all our current pulp and paper products, including low viscosity and great knockdown performance. This antifoam also has extensive persistence and is suitable for both softwood and hardwood applications.

Pulp and Paper European Marketer Shares Expertise

Alexandre Krapivin, Dow Corning’s new European marketer for the pulp and paper industry, joined Dow Corning in 2003 when the company opened its Moscow, Russia, headquarters. His experience working with the Russian pulp and paper industry enables him to share knowledge and skills with his customers. A key contact for Dow Corning with the Centre Technique du Papier International (CTPi), Alexandre is responsible for coordinating joint activities between the two organizations, focusing on paper recycling. With broad industry experience and his current work with CTPi, Alexandre will provide guidance to customers ensuring that they receive the best possible products and services for their applications.
